Swim lessons for the first time are funny things. A little traumatic for them at times and very funny for me. But oh so cute!

Home Grown!

We picked our very own apricots this week! It was so fun! I've never grown anything edible before and was so excited when we moved in here to find little fruit trees. Though, the fruit trees were mere sticks and hadn't been watered in a year or so, but nonetheless fruit trees! The only thing that survived was this apricot tree in the corner and a small apple tree in the middle. Little trees struggled the first year, but this is our 3rd summer here and in the last 6 months I've been doing what I can to get these little guys going. So here we have it!

And above are the little apples that have shown up as they do every year. Mostly we have not been able to eat them, but this year we will wait patiently and see what happens. Also, here are some pictures of what else is growing in the yard...

All these sunny pictures make me wonder if summer is on it's way. It's been cloudy and chilly for some time now. June gloom is something we can count on each year, though it is still surprising after months of warmer weather.
